Transcribe Zoom, Google Meet & Teams Meetings โ€” Free

Turn a Zoom, Google Meet or Microsoft Teams recording into a searchable written transcript in minutes. Completely free โ€” no account, no signup, no subscription.

Meetings are where decisions get made, but nobody wants to rewatch an hour-long recording to find one sentence. FreeToTranscribe gives you free meeting transcription: upload the recording of your Zoom meeting, Google Meet call or Microsoft Teams meeting and get a clean, timestamped transcript you can read, search, quote and share. No payment, no account, and nothing stored after your transcript is ready.

It works with the recording files those platforms produce โ€” typically an MP4 video or an M4A/MP3 audio file โ€” as well as conference call recordings, webinar exports and any other meeting audio. Upload the file, wait a couple of minutes, and download the transcript as TXT, SRT, VTT or RTF.

Transcribe a Zoom meeting

Zoom saves cloud and local recordings as MP4 (video) and M4A (audio only). Either works. Upload the file here to get a free Zoom meeting transcript without paying for Zoom's paid transcription add-on. Great for turning client calls, standups and interviews into written records.

Transcribe a Google Meet call

Google Meet recordings are saved to Google Drive as MP4. Download the recording, upload it here, and FreeToTranscribe will transcribe your Google Meet call into text you can paste into notes, minutes or a follow-up email.

Transcribe a Microsoft Teams meeting

Teams stores recordings in OneDrive or SharePoint as MP4. Download the file and upload it to get a free Teams meeting transcript โ€” useful for documenting project meetings, training sessions and all-hands calls.

Frequently asked questions

Is meeting transcription really free?

Yes โ€” completely free. No account, no login, no payment. You get up to 5 transcriptions per day with a 60-minute total daily limit.

Do you connect to my Zoom, Meet or Teams account?

No. There's no integration and no login. You simply download the recording your meeting platform already saved and upload that file here. Nothing is connected to your accounts.

What file should I upload?

Upload the recording file your platform produced โ€” usually an MP4 video or an M4A/MP3 audio file. The audio track is transcribed automatically.

Can it tell speakers apart?

All speech from every participant is captured with accurate timestamps. Individual speaker labels aren't separated automatically, but you can label them yourself in the downloaded transcript.

Is my meeting recording private?

Yes. Files are processed securely and deleted immediately after your transcript is ready. Nothing is stored, and no human reviews your recording.
